Let me just start by saying that I am not looking for excuses here. The goal is to lose as much weight as possible but it is proving difficult. I am training and eating well but its not shifting for some reason.
I was sat watching the British Lions game on Saturday Morning at the Caravan and I was looking at the size of some of the guys playing. They are huge! Yes most of it will be muscle but the front row guys looked must also be carrying some excess fat? They are also mega fit. Some of the Eagles team are also big lads but they don’t look overweight like the Union.
So can you be over weight and Fit? I don’t know.
I ask because I seem to be really struggling to shift the pounds at the moment and it is really starting to affect my motivation and drive to carry on this journey. I just seem to have hit a wall where as much as I train and exercise, I don’t seems to be shifting any weight. This really got to me last week where I really felt not bothered about the Gym and only went once. Bad I know.
Having said all that, the MyZone tells me my fitness is improving. My muscle mass is going up and body fat coming down. When I have a PT session, I am doing fitness tests and I can do them. Yes it’s a struggle but I can do them.
This leads me to the question of is it all worth it. Am I beating myself up and medically I am getting fitter so do I not worry about the weight. Alternatively, do I have a medical problem I need to address or do I just seriously crash diet and see what happens.
I really am in a mess with this! Help.
I am going to the gym tonight and my plan is to go every day this week to get back on track before my holiday. I’ll keep you updated….
