So it’s Thursday Evening and I am off to spend the weekend at Far Grange for Easter. The emotion of this is both joy and a bit of upset. Joy because I am spending 4 days at the coast with family and friends simply resting and enjoying ourselves. The sadness comes from knowing that Sam and Lucy are staying an extra week and I will be home alone due to work!
And work is the subject of this blog…
I have now been at Broadsword for a month and I have loved every minute of it. It has been a while since I actually looked forward to going to work. For various reasons my last place of employment didn’t work out the way I, and others, expected. This made it difficult for me to enjoy my job and enjoy going to work. I look back with fondness on certain parts and certain people, and also with regret on the larger elements which seriously overshadowed the rest.
This is a thing of the past. I am still friends with the people I choose to be friends with from there and that’s all that matter. I now wake up every day looking forward to what is in store. To be able to get on with what I am good at as part of a great company is a feeling I cannot describe!
So who are Broadsword and what do we do….
Based in the heart of South Yorkshire and The Sheffield City Region, Broadsword is a specialist print and print management solutions provider. We have in house digital presses, and wide format printers. We also run cost effective print management services for businesses of all sizes across the UK. For the larger client we operate stock managed solution with online management and re order capabilities. It really is a great business with a solid business model and I am so happy to have been given the opportunity to bring my experience to the company.
One thing I have never struggled with is having the opportunity to work with people who are great ! What is different is that at Broadsword, Everyone is great. I have been made to feel so welcome and integrated into the team.
Right now I am going to take the opportunity to get a few days rest and enjoy spending tine with my Family, cleaning my Caravan for Summer and playing Golf. Also, we are going to a Willy Wonka Party on Saturday!
I hope everyone has a great Bank Holiday weekend!
Until Next Time…
