I have not written on this for a couple of weeks. Last weekend, Sam and I went to Northern Ireland for a weekend. We had a great time and if you see my latest video diary you will see a bit of what we got up to.
I am starting to find things difficult. I am enjoying The Gym and really pushing myself. I am getting there 4-5 times a week and swimming at a weekend. Right at the start of this journey I was told that recovery is just as important as training. I enjoy swimming as part of my recovery. Yesterday I gave Sam’s car a full clean and polish and, after a week’s training and spin, my body really ached after. I got up early this morning and headed off to the gym. 30 lengths, Steam room, Sauna and Hot tub later and I felt a lot better.
The other reason I suffered this weekend is because of the weekend before. I had always planned to have a drink in Northern Ireland. I was with my family and extended family and it was always going to be one of my “weekends off”. I did have a few drinks but I also didn’t really eat that badly. Let’s put it this way. I have returned from family weekends before feeling a lot worse! I am now on this with not drinking until our holiday in the summer. This gives me about 5 months to make some real headway.
So on to the title of this blog. Due to a changing in my professional circumstances I have had to put my PT sessions on hold for a few weeks, mainly for financial reasons. I am gutted. I was really enjoying them and being watched and monitored was exactly what I needed.
A huge thank you to Phil Watt at Bannatyne Rotherham who is still including me in his PT group on My Zone and still touching base. This is only short term and as soon as I am sorted I will be back on the PT sessions. Until then it is up to me. I need to stay focused, train hard and get to where I need to get. There is no way I am not going to achieve my goal.
I finished second in the “league” for MEP points in February with over 2000, so this is my March Goal. Beat last month’s points and try and win this league.
Until Next Time…
