So I went for a PT session on Friday which was my birthday. How mad must I be to go training on my birthday but no pain, no gain. Before the session I had my 1st month weigh in. I have gone from 165.5 kg’s to 158.7kg’s and I am chuffed to bits. I have lost just short of 7kg’s in January! I cannot put into words what this has meant to me. I know I have been good, eaten right and trained hard but I did not think I would lose this much. It has just spurred me on to do more, train more and lose more faster.
I have now upped my training to 5 times a week in the gym and 1 swimming session on a Sunday evening. I do 3 gym sessions, 1 Spinning class and my personal training session every week now. If I am being honest with myself I never thought I would enjoy it as much as I do. I look forward to going and I can actually feel myself getting fitter and smaller.
With it being my birthday we have been out a couple of times this weekend. Sam brought me a video camera for my birthday which is fantastic and more to come on this. Why am I telling you this. Well all day on Friday and over the weekend I have worn my jeans which I have had for a while. All weekend, Sam has been telling me to pull them up as they keep falling down because they are too big! This leaves me with a dilemma. Do I buy some more clothes now or do I wait another month, muddle through and see where I am at the end of February and make another decision then?
On Saturday we went to visit some great friends of ours in Derby. We went for a lovely meal at a local pub and even there I ate healthily, no chips or anything and certainly no alcohol. I am going to try to go the whole year without drinking (except when we go away with my family to Ireland in a fw weeks and on our holiday in July). I did however treat myself to a desert. I had summer fruits crumble, but luckily there was not much crumble on it! I did enjoy it! Huge thank you to Keith and Helen for their hospitality! A great evening with great people!
So that’s January. On with February! But before I do I just want to thank a couple of people. Sam for keeping me on the straight and narrow and for motivating me everyday. Secondly to Phil my trainer at Bannatynne! Thanks for the support and motivation as well as pushing me in the sessions!
February is going to be a big month for me. Got so much to do and we are going away at the end of the month. need to get my sessions in and keep driving forward.
I mentioned earlier in the blog that Sam brought me a video camera for my Birthday. Well my first video diary of this journey is now live! Follow this link and please subscribe to my channel and join me on this journey!
