At the moment I am really enjoying spending an extended run of weekends at home. This doesn’t mean to say I don’t miss Far Grange but I have got so much done! Most of what has been achieved is leading towards Sam & Amy’s graduation party next weekend. We will not be back at caravan until 7th October I don’t think as Newcastle United come to town on the 1st October and I don’t want to miss that!
So as weekend go, this one was certainly a good one. Lets start with the negative – Rotherham Lost again, but we are scoring goals. That me done with football on this post.
Whilst we have been doing up the house we have been accumulating rubbish and I was sick of paying for skips and them leaving half full. You may remember this picture from an earlier post:
On Friday night we did get another skip and it was time for this lot to go. However, when I returned from work, it was done! Sam, bless her, had loaded the skip so all that was left for me to so was chop up the tree I cut down a few weeks ago and transport this from the top of the garden to the skip on the front drive. You may be able to see the huge pile of at the top of the garden in this picture:
What you can also see from this picture is how dirty the patio is. So…..
Saturdays Job was to jet wash this. Hey Presto!!
I know what you are going to say but believe me it has come up a treat. The camera doesn’t do it justice.
Saturday Night brought a night out for a good friends birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK WINDLE!
When Mark asked if Sam and I would like to go we couldn’t wait. We were somewhat nervous given a bit of history but in actual fact there was no need and I hope we made a huge step forward. Fingers crossed and time will tell.
We started in the pub and then up to Wickersley for a few more, then a few more and a turkish meal, which was amazing! I would certainly recommend if you are ever in Rotherham to go for Elif in Wickersley. Have a number 23. I don’t know how to pronounce it but it is awesome.
Safe to say after 7 hours drinking, everyone was suitable drunk and Sam and I were ready to go home. Here’s the problem. No Taxi’s so we decide to walk. This is where ladies shoes really are fashion items as opposed to practical. Sam walked all the way home, it was a fair walk, across grass, tarmac and stones in bare feet. For the record I did offer her a piggy back but this was refused.
It was however an amazing night and we both enjoyed it thoroughly. I was also so proud of Sam and she will forever know why.
Now Sunday. Again after a monster drinking session, Sunday has been relaxed. So relaxed in fact that Sam has only spent 4 hours out of bed ( this is probably because of a raging hangover) and As I write this at 3.20 pm, she is back in bed. To be fair to Sam, I wont post a picture. You can alway tell when Sam is hung over as all she wants is Iron Bru!
Sunday PM was spent crashing in front of the tele watching the Singapore GP which is by far my favourite race of the season. Well Done to Nico Rosberg but I think given another 2 or 3 laps then Ricciardo would have pipped him.
Off to chill again now and get ready for another week at work.
Until Next Time…
